An Extremely Simple Forex Strategy to Help You Get Things Started

Having a forex strategy in place is extremely important if you want to be successful as a trader. Even if you are a professional trader, a basic strategy can help you formulate an entire trading plan, which would obviously make it possible for you to maximize the profits that you make. In this particular article, we would solely be focusing on the utilization of pivot points on the basis of resistance and support.

Goinf through forex charts would make it possible for you to identify time periods in which certain currencies reach a certain price. After that particular moment, the currency is knocked down yet again so that it is stopped from moving beyond that point. This, in terms of buying is called resistance and support in terms of selling.

The utilization of pivot points is not as hard as it might seem to many of you. What you need to do is utilize data from the charting pack to be able to mark all of the pivot points on it. Black dotted lines symbolize the main pivot, whereas three green lines are used to represent all three resistance levels. When you consider the sell side, you will notice 3 red dotted lines that represent all three support levels.

These pivot points can easily be utilized by just about any trader out there as a very basic forex technique. These are particularly profitable for reverse trading as well as breakout trades. As soon as you notice that a currency has broken through a pivot point, consider it an extremely good sign that it has the potential to carry on that particular trend up to the following pivot point.
The currency is either over sold or brought once it breaks through the level 3 zones and can reverse. You can additionally utilize the pivot points at the 1 and 2 levels for mini trend reversals.

The basis of a majority of forex indicators is basically formed by support and resistance. Even Fibonacci retracements, which happen to be extremely complex, are formulated through resistance and support levels. 3 Reasons Why Metatrader On Mac Is Better (And How To Get Started)

I recently switched to a Mac, and it is the best computer I have ever owned. Of course nothing is perfect, but things just work better on a Mac. The only problem is that Forex trading software is not usually very Mac friendly.

You cannot directly install programs like Metatrader 4, Metatrader 5, Forex Tester 2 and other proprietary trading platforms. I guess they are a little behind the times.

So what do you do? Fortunately there is a great solution.

There are programs out there like VMWare Fusion (the one I use) and Parallels that allow you to install Windows as a program on the Mac. It just runs like another program in OS X and I even think that it runs better on a Mac.

Without further delay, here are the top 3 reasons that I think Metatrader on Mac is the way to go for your forex trading:

OS X is a more solid operating system. Things just work and you do not have to worry about programs crashing as much.Viruses are not an issue on a Mac. There are some Mac viruses out there, but your Mac is otherwise very safe. Why would the hackers go after Macs when PCs are such easy pickings? With your copy of Windows running on VMWare Fusion, it is much easier to backup your trading settings and restore them later if you change computers or something does go wrong.

How to get started

Setting this all up does cost some money, but because of the reasons listed above, it is totally worth it. In order to run Metatrader on Mac, you need two things.

First, you need a copy of Windows that you can install in VMWare. This can be kind of expensive, with new copies running about $300, at the time this article was written. In order to save some money, you could try using old disks that you may have received from one of your old computers, or you could try to find a used copy.

You could go with Windows XP, Vista or 7. I use Windows XP because I think it is more solid than the newer operating systems. If you must have the most up to date thing, get Windows 7. Otherwise, stay away from Windows Vista at all costs.

Next, you need a copy of VMWare Fusion. It costs about $65 at a Mac Store or on Amazon. This is the program that makes the magic happen. You install it on your Mac first, then within VMWare, you install your copy of Windows.

It's as easy as that! Once you have Windows running and updated, download a free copy of Metatrader 4 and get trading!

I hope this has helped!

Automated Forex Trading System Strategies - How to Get Started Trading With a Forex Robot Safely

Are you interested in getting started with using an automated Forex trading system? Here's a step-by-step approach that can help you do so safely and without taking unnecessary risks.

From selecting a Forex robot or automated trading system to getting a brokerage account, here's some help with getting going on your path towards becoming adept at automated Forex trading and turn yourself into a profitable trader.

1) Select a Forex robot

For automated Forex trading, a good robot is a must. So that's the first step, and it's a tricky one too. How DO you select a good robot?

First of all, if it sounds too good to be true, it may well be. But there are a few other things that can help. You should make sure you get all the information you need to make an informed decision, from how much it will cost upfront to whether there will be any ongoing fees.

You should also check to see if there is someone who will answer your questions. And finally, you may want to look around to find out what other information you can gather about the robot and the creator and/or seller of the robot.

Finally, you might want to go to a key Forex forum or two and find out what others are thinking about your top choices.

2) Get a free demo trading account

Once you have invested in your Forex robot, you will want to use it. But don't start throwing money at it just yet. Instead, get a free demo account. Most brokers offer such accounts, which will allow you to get your feet wet and become comfortable with your robot and the trading process.

So how would you know which broker is trustworthy? Once again, do some research, get as much information as you can about them, and follow your gut feeling. If they are pushy, they're probably not right for you.

And as in the case of selecting a robot, you can also ask questions. Why not go back to your new favorite Forex forum and get recommendations about whom to pick as a broker.

3) Start trading with your demo account

When you have both your robot and the demo account, it's time to start trading. Pay close attention to what you're doing and the results you get. Develop a feel for the performance of your robot, and for your comfort level. You should also develop some rules about how much risk you're willing to take with your automated Forex trading.

4) Start trading for real

After having practiced for a while, you'll have become confident in your (and your robot's) abilities. That's the time to start with the real thing.

Just remember that once you're trading with real money, be sure to err on the conservative side. You don't want to wipe out your entire investment fund, but instead make it grow, even if it's growing slowly at first.

If you have chosen your robot well, you should see quite a bit of growth with your automated Forex trading, especially if you have chosen a high quality robot with live signal services.
